The above link had rpm, but now that is moved to Factory as I mentioned in followup, when I realized that there is no rpm there anymore and searched for it. Don't be surprised that rc7 is now current :-)

What was available was rc7, so I grabbed it and the source to rebuild the nVidia module. Still no USB. :( I booted a diff. Linux live CD just to double check the USB ports.....NO problem with a 32-bit loaded image, so that's the final check on the hardware.
