Can anyone provide an answer, please, to what the future of KDE is considering that gnome has gone #3 but will not be used in such a distro as Ubuntu, to be replaced by Unity. And I don't know what the future holds for openSUSE. What's the future of KDE in openSUSE, will it remain and be in place for at least several years or be replaced with something like Unity or Gnome #3 in the foreseeable future or within 6 months time (whichever comes first)? (Reason for asking is that I don't want to invest time and effort in getting KDE in 11.4 configured only to find that KDE will be replaced with something as unproductive as gnome 3 or Unity.)
