Hello,
I am using a DIY KVM switch system. While the HDMI switch is no
problem at all for now, the keyboard and mouse were switched using a
cheap USB2 Hub... and this became a problem.
Some time *after* the last switch the keyboard and mouse silently
failed. I switched them to a different USB2 port and they worked for
some time before failing again. Now no USB2 port would take them,
either through the hub or apart, but I put them into USB3 ports
(apart, without the hub) and for now they work again. If I detahc the
mouse and attach to a USB2 port it does not work. Back to USB3, it
works.
I am looking at dmesg output but not understanding anything.
In this excerpt, "usb 1" is the USB3 port, after that connection the
mouse works. "usb 3" is the USB2 port, after that connection the mouse
does not work. I am failing to see the difference.

Xorg.0.log does not seem to provide a clue either. In this example,
the first time I connect the mouse to the USB2 port and it does not
work, and the second time I connect it to a USB3 port and it does
work:

What else should I look into? And, is there anything I should try?
Newer kernel maybe? (4.1.26 for now - stock Leap 42.1 kernel; I know
there are newer kernel packages for Leap)
