[opensuse] flash or a screwy site?

I have the current Adobe flash installed on my computer, and mozilla about:plugins lists it: Shockwave Flash File name: libflashplayer.so Shockwave Flash 10.0 r22 MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes But, oddly, this page complains that my version is too old. I have 10, and it wants at least 9. [opensuse] Firefox loses window decorations...but found a fix

Has anyone else encountered this recently? When I open a session of Firefox, it, and only it, comes up with no window decoration. Everything else works normally. My config includes fully updated 11.1, Firefox 3.0.10, and Gnome, plus Compiz with Emerald window decoration. (I will gather specific versioning info if and only if someone has a use for it.) After a bit of research, I tried starting firefox with the "-safe-mode" flag, then set it to permanently disable only the first option, "toolbars, etc.". After shutting down, then restarting my regular way, clicking on a menu or desktop emblem (that is the preferred term for icon, is it not?). I am writing this just to see if anyone else has experienced this, in order to perhaps pinpoint the source of the problem without extensive testing (which I don't have time to do, especially since it is working again.) This problem has occurred in two different sessions recently, although only after switching back to the office connection after connecting from home in between. I am also posting this to verify that I have successfully started a new thread, rather than accidentally hijacking another. But I didn't want to just post a "test" thread, and this does seem to be at least marginally on topic. Dan Goodman PS I have an intuition that this might be related to the fact that my work proxy let foxmarks pass through unhampered, but no longer lets it pass as xmarks. [opensuse] Two problems remaining after otherwise successful OS upgrade

After I upgraded from v10.3 to v11.1, a number of problems remained, most of which I have succeeded in clearing. Three remain and are driving me up the wall. I would be grateful for any help in dealing with them too: 1) Several apps did not come across when I copied the /home directory to the new installation, because not all their elements are contained in that directory. I have fixed all but two, XMMS and RealPlayer. I'm reasonable confident that I simply need to reinstall them from scratch, but YaST doesn't work. It comes up and lets me search for apps by name, but then craches immediately as soon as I ask for installation of a selected application. I have no idea where to look for the root of this problem. 2) The more bizarre problem lies in the browsers (plural). I can access every website I have tried, except one, which is my own <http://hashkedim.com>. When I try to access it with EITHER Firefox or Konqueror, I get an error message telling me that it is impossible to connect. Going back to v10.3, this problem doesn't exist (it never did appear there). It also doesn't exist in the new v11.1 installation if I add the "www" - <http://www.hashkedim.com>. I would like to understand why two different browsers need the "www" in v11.1 but not in v10.3, but ONLY in this one URL. It would be os neutral, they would lose the lock-in feature (which doesn't really work) but the cost continued development would be minimal. Then people could sync their computers to google. [opensuse] Accessing a disk-image

Hi, Last year I made a diskimage of a CF-hard-disk using dd. Now I have some problems booting that disk so I want to investigate the differences. However, I can't mount that diskimage with "mount -o loop diskimage /mnt". I think it's because the image contains two partitions. Hi .
