Trouble authenticate Samba with NT

I have finally got Samba machine to join the NT domain with the this linux command "smbpasswd -j Domain -r server". I am still having problem accessing the share that I created on the Linux machine. It still prompt me for my user name and password when I try to connect to it. I can connect to it if I enter in the user name that I created in the linux machine but I can attach to it using the NT user name. One of the Samba document ask me to create a "domainuser.mapping" file to map Unix name to NT user name (eg. root = administrator). I did create that but I don't know where to put the file. Does anyone know how to set up Samba to authenticate with a NT PDC domain properly? Or even where I can find information on how to perform this. I am trying to setup Samba as a file server and only allow certain NT user to access certain share base on the NT logon authentication. Using True Type fonts

Hi all, Is there some way to use True Type Fonts under Linux? How to configure it? I have tried that unsuccessfully using KFontinst and selecting a font path in Sax2. It would appear that I left a few facts out. The distribution was just upgraded to 7.1. After the last installation I have ID7 on the controller, ID0 on the installed drive and ID2 on the drive that I cannot get attached. That way, the second drive should appear as /dev/sdb and the installed drive still be /dev/sda if I ever succeed in getting the second drive attached to a running system. Playing DVD's on TV

Hello I got my DVD player going on Linux! But now, I've bought the cables, hooked it up to the television... and want to play movies there, but it's not working. I've followed the instructions in the TV_OUT file from nvidia, but it doesn't seem to work. The picture on TV changes, and the colors to as I change something on my X server, but nothing can be seen (not even blurry). I tried it on windows, and there it seems to work. I think it might be something with my refresh rate ... Has anyone gotten this to work? My config AMD Athlon with SuSE 7.1, kernel 2.4.2, XFree 4 (from distro), nvidia drivers. Used resolution for DVD's 640x480 and 800x600 Asus V7100 geforce2MX COMBO AGP video-card with video-out. Connected to the VCR using a SCART cable which is connected to TV-set via antenna-cable (my TV is about 20 years old, without SCART offcourse :-( ) Thanks for any help! Kind regards Guy

How do I specify what I want running at what run level? I know how to create the links, but is there no GUI runlevel editor similer to RedHat? Also, why isn't xfs started by default?

Thanks Stupid question but after making changes when Pico asks if I want to save and I say yes, when it asks for a name of the file to write do I just enter /etc/modules.conf to save it? Donnie
