[SLE] Installing SSH and SSHD

It has been brought to my attention that I should install SSH and SSHD on my SuSE Linux system running v6.4, kernel 2.2.14... I've perused the SuSE CD set and cannot seem to find them. Can someone tell me where I can find the programs and how to install them? Are they RPM's? Any help on this would be very appreciated. Thanks. I am using SuSE Linux, v6.4, kernel 2.2.14. I have been told that I should install SSH and SSHD. I have perused the distribution CD's and cannot seem to find them. [SLE] Silly Netscape Problem

Hello, Actually, the gnu-tar IS the extract command. In the Xinstall.sh, the script checks for a valid extract file. If there is none, it then moves on to check for an extract.exe. If you have that, then the script writes it to extract, and makes it executable. Then, later in the script, it checks for gnu-tar (which will only be there if the install has been run before). If it finds it, it erases it, and links extract to it. So, I would check your extract file, and maybe redownload extract.exe. Or, delete extract and gnu-tar from the directory, and re-run the install script. [SLE] Why doesn't my added memory show up?

Hi, I have a box running SuSE 6.4. I just popped in a 256 Meg DIMM. I had a 128 Meg DIMM. The problem is, Linux says I still only have 128 Meg. What's up with that? Do I need to tell Linux something? I didn't think so... The BIOS recognizes the full SIMM without difficulty, and the memory test runs ok at bootup. I have an Abit BH6 mobo, v 1.01. Bios is dated something around 6/28/00 (I just updated it a few weeks ago). Could it by my mobo, or some BIOS settings? [SLE] OT: problems w/ flushing mail out of Yahoo! Mail POP3 boxes (long)

Hello all, I know this is rather off-topic, but it concerns a problem that is keeping me from effectively using my SuSE Linux box, so it kinda sorta applies ;) Does anyone else out there who uses Yahoo! Mail, specifically the POP3 service, have problems w/ flushing large amounts of mail from their Inbox? In my case, I was on the road for a week or so, and am subscribed to several high-volume mailing lists. I got one of the larger 25MB Yahoo! mailboxes just for situations like this, where I had a lot of mail piling up. By the time I got home, I had around 2200 messages in my inbox. I went to download them w/ fetchmail, using 'fetchmail -a' so as to retrieve even the ones I had viewed while on the road. An hour or so later (21kbs modem connection), I had downloaded them all. An hour or so later, I ran fetchmail again, to snag anything that had arrived while I had been downloading the original mailbox, plus anything since. Imagine my suprise when I see fetchmail start to download _2300_ messages! WTF? I've had this problem in the past, also when I let the mailbox get up around a similar size. That time, running 'fetchmail -a -F -K' did the trick (-a=get all,-F=force flush,-K=no keep'). This time, though, nothing seems to quite work. I was up over 3000 messages yesterday. I tried moving things into folders in my Yahoo! Mail account, i.e. suse messages into a suse directory, openbsd messages into an openbsd directory, etc. I got the 'Inbox' down to around 1300 messages that weren't easily categorizable by the subject/sender. Then I tried fetchmail -a -F -K again. Same results. Finally, I tried using Netscape Messenger to directly download from the Yahoo! pop server. Somehow, Messenger downloaded 4500+ messages (there's only ~1300+, remember), and unexplicably, 950+ still remain in my Inbox on Yahoo! WTF? Hellllpppp!!! Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I am getting _NO_ response from Yahoo!'s feedback department, nor have I ever in regards to the earlier occurences of this problem. I wish they would put the darn thing finally on the ftp.
