[opensuse-es] Problema con Instalacion
Hola: Ya tengo instalada la 10.2 en un ordenador de casa y todo ok. Pero he instalado la 10.2 en un ordenador de la oficina donde tenia la 10.0 (que me iba bien). Y pongo los Cdś, ajusto la red para poder conctar con el ruter a internet (ok), instalo los 3 repositorios que ofrece, actualizo (ok). entonces entro en mi usuario y en l pantalla al principio bien pero al mover el mouse o abrir ventanas me aparecen rayas. y luego se bloquea totalmente. Solo puedo apagar el ordenador. Al principio pense que seria un error al instalar y volvi a instalar todo (como nueva instalacion). Estoy escribiendo desde el PC de mi casay no tengo todos los datos. Tengo una tarjeta Nvidia Geforce4MX400 y al leer las notas de version vi este mensaje. ¿Puede ser el culpable? ¿como lo hago? Si te va bien, espera a que se termine el soporte dee sa versión y luego actualizas... lo que funciona (regla de oro) es mejor no tocarlo :-)

Algunas ideas (pensando en voz alta...): - Si se ha instalado bien (la instalación ha finalizado completamente) y el problema te lo da al iniciar la sesión, pensaría que se puede tratar de algún conflicto / problema con los controladores, en este caso preciso, de la tarjeta / sistema gráfico. - Para tener una idea más clara del error, sería conveniente revisar los errores del registro que están donde siempre, a mirar el /var/log/warn, messages, x.org, y el de sesión de KDE. - Dices que el equipo se queda en negro y reinicias, pero ¿has probado a abrir un terminal (con control+alt+f2) e iniciar una sesión sin entorno gráfico? - Si el equipo sencillamente se queda parado y no te deja iniciar sesión en modo texto ni responde el teclado (revisa la luz del bloqueo numérico) pensaría que puude deberse a algún tema de hardware o componentes, acpi o similar. Si te deja utilizar el teclado, entra en una sesión sin entorno gráfico (ctrl+alt+f1), entra como usuario y trabaja con el equipo para ver si se queda bloqueado de la misma forma. Para acceder a yast desde terminal ejecuta simplemente "yast", te mueves con el tabulador y las flechas. Otra posibilidad sería acceder al equipo desde la red vía ssh (te sirve un equipo con windows -putty- u otro con suse) para ver si te deja acceder de esta forma. Los bloqueos de ese tipo suelen ser debidos a fallo de componentes (fuente de alimentación, disco duro, memoria, placa base...). Este tipo de errores no suele dejar rastro ni mensajes de error en el registro, por eso es interesante la salida de dmesg. Si te deja utilizar el teclado, entra en una sesión sin entorno

He hecho ctrl+alt+f10. Pero sale un mensaje enorme. ¿Se guarda en archivo y
con que nombre/directorio?
Por otro lado he bajado y usado la utilidad "Seatools de seagate" (lei el
otro dia que lo aconsejaban). Y me da errores. En las particiones NTFS. Las
particiones de Linux no las analiza.
Si tengo mal el disco duro. ¿Debo reinstalarlo todo y usar la erramienta
"Diskwizard de seagate"?

He hecho ctrl+alt+f10. Pero sale un mensaje enorme. ¿Se guarda en archivo y con que nombre/directorio?
Se lee y se revisan los mensajes.
Por otro lado he bajado y usado la utilidad "Seatools de seagate" (lei el otro dia que lo aconsejaban). Y me da errores. En las particiones NTFS. Las particiones de Linux no las analiza.

Si tengo mal el disco duro. ¿Debo reinstalarlo todo y usar la erramienta "Diskwizard de seagate"?
Si la herramienta de análisis de Segate te da algún error vete pensando en comprar otro disco, hacer copia de seguridad ahora mismo y volver a instalar de nuevo... dormirás más tranquilo :-). Por curiosidad ¿qué error reporta SeaTools?

Hola de nuevo: Carlos, perdona, escribi desde outlook express de windows y no se muy bien que hice (este tambien lo mando igual). Bueno. El disco duro no es el problema. Probe cambiarlo e instalarlo y daba el mismo problema. Tambien he probado correr el test de memoria que tienen los cd de instalacion. Tras pasar dos veces ok lo paro. He vuelto a poner el disco duro original y, evidentemente sigue sin funcionar. Realmente estoy enfadado y un tanto bloqueado (antes iba y ahora no???). Tambien podria probar cambiar la tarjeta grafica (menudo rollo). Intento el comando dmesg (en vez de entrar en kde entro en un modo como consola) pero me sale mucho texto y no se como pararlo. Total que solo puedo ver el final. Al disco duro de Linux puedo acceder desde windows con un programa "Total comander". Asi si el ordenador guarda algun log podria recogerlo(aunque no se cuales son los interesantes). Entonces. O via comandos o via total-comander con logs guardados. Bueno. El disco duro no es el problema. Probe cambiarlo e instalarlo y daba el mismo problema.
Vale, sabemos algo nuevo.
Tambien he probado correr el test de memoria que tienen los cd de instalacion. Tras pasar dos veces ok lo paro.
He vuelto a poner el disco duro original y, evidentemente sigue sin funcionar. Realmente estoy enfadado y un tanto bloqueado (antes iba y ahora no???). Tambien podria probar cambiar la tarjeta grafica (menudo rollo).
Prueba cambiando el cable del disco duro, el de cinta. Si es PATA, es muy frágil. ¿Hay dos unidades en el mismo cable? Quita la segunda, esp si es una lectora - por probar.
Intento el comando dmesg (en vez de entrar en kde entro en un modo como consola) pero me sale mucho texto y no se como pararlo. Total que solo puedo ver el final.
dmesg | less y las teclas de cursor para moverte; 'q' para salir, 'h' para ayuda.
Al disco duro de Linux puedo acceder desde windows con un programa "Total comander". Asi si el ordenador guarda algun log podria recogerlo(aunque no se cuales son los interesantes).
Entonces. O via comandos o via total-comander con logs guardados. (agradezco sugerencias, que estoy un poco histerico)
