DB_File in perl crashes on SLES9/x346 (Xeon) Server, DynaLoader-Problem?
Hello, who else has problems using DB_File in perl under SLES9 SP3? I find the problem only on our IBM-x346, not on the Opterons e326 with the same 32-bit SLES installed. The same problem occurs with newer kernel and also rebuilt perl. It look like this: Type perl <new line> use DB_File; <new line> This gives with new-built perl/similar in SLES9's perl: use DB_File; Can't locate DB_File.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8/i686- linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/i686-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at - line 2. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at - line 2. You need to have DB_File.pm in a directory in @INC which is filled with "compilation time" settings and the environment variable PERL5LIB. Where is DB_File.pm installed? You quite possibly have to a) set PERL5LIB accordingly or b) to reinstall DB_File. -dnh -- "In My Egotistical Opinion, most people's C programs should be indented six feet downward and covered with dirt." -- Blair P.
