Ich stehe vor einem Rätsel:
Ich habe den Kernel von linux-2.4.4.SuSE auf linux-2.4.10.SuSE umgestellt, da
ein Grafiktablett diesen Kernel verlangt.
Leider ist dadurch jetzt die vorher funktionierende SCSI-Emulation verloren
gegangen. Ich weiss nur nicht wo. Der physikalische SCSI-Controler wird
geladen und funktioniert. Die IDE-Emulation lädt zwar das Kernelmodul, aber
die Laufwerke bleiben IDE. auch mit cdrecord -scanbus wird nur ein SCSI-Bus
angezeigt.
Hat irgendwer so ein Problem schon gelöst?

Auszüge der Konfiguration.
/etc/lilo.conf enthält die Zeile:
append = "scsi-ide=hdc"
/etc/init.d/boot.local die Zeile
/sbin/modprobe ide-scsi
Das Kernelmodul wird zwar geladen, aber die Laufwerke bleiben IDE.

Danke allen, die das gelesen haben. Habe mein Problem mittlerweile gelöst. Hing zusammen mit win4lin. Wenn immer ich diese Unterstützung mit dem entsprechenden Binary Patch aktiviert habe, ging scsi-ide nicht mehr. Habe jetzt diese Unterstützung direkt in die Sourcen gepatched und auch ide-scsi direkt einkompiliert, und siehe da, problem gelöst. Sorry, dass ich euch zu früh mit dem Problem belästigt habe. Ach ich denke nicht, dass das zu früh war. Immerhin weiss ich jetzt wieder ein bisschen mehr. :) Und ich denke viele andere hatten auch nicht unbedingt den Plan woran es liegen könnte. Also Danke das du mir was beigebracht hast. :)
