Und Du scheinst auch keine mailcap Regel zum dumpen von HTML zu verwenden, sonst wäre Dir aufgefallen, das die plötzlich als HTML-Quellcode angezeigt wird.
Nein, ausser einem "auto_view text/html" habe ich nichts konfiguriert. Das schiebt mir html Mails in w3m.
