[opensuse-translation] Translation to persian
Dear sir/madam, I want to contribute to Persian opensuse translation team, but i can't find a way to contact with Persian team coordinator Mr. Sina Saeedi, his email is sina@opensuse.ir that unfortunately the opensuse.ir domain is not available any more. Can you please let me know how can i involve to this team. I can't give you an official answer, but try sending an email to saeedi.sina@gmail.com (I found this address somewhere deep in my SUSE- Mailinglistarchiv). I can't promise that this is the right Saeedi, but it seems very likely. A different question is whether farsi is under active translation, as far as I can see it the last real translation was done 3 years ago by the user "barmshory" (mostafa.barmshory@p-simorgh.com). So it might be that you'd be the only active translator right now. -- Kind Regards, Michael

As you said this team is not active any more. but i do my best to active project again. OpenSuse have many users in iran and translation to farsi can help them to use this powerful Linux Operation system more efficiently. unfortunately Sina doesn't answer my email and i want to ask, is there any way for me to work as new coordinator of this language? There is a Turkish group on vertaal, you should try to contact them first. http://vertaal.tk/teams/opensuse/tr/ There are 9 people listed. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)

Efstathios, the current coordinator, seems to be active. Try to reach him via the contact form ( https://vertaal.tk/contact/iosifidis/ ) -- Kind Regards -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org
Nevermind, just replied to this mail, but you were talking about Persian not Turkish.

Yes, just add yourself as the new coordinator on the Web page (it's a wiki page!), and start with the translation work. Do you need an SVN account, or do you want to use Vertaal straight away? -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks Karl I prefer to have a svn account, if it's applicable. ------ Mohammad Rezaei Seresht -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

Great :) ATM, I'm away from my SUSE. Can someone please help Mohammad with creating the encrypted password? Then send it to Daniel, who can provide the svn account (see cc:). TIA, Daniel! -- Karl EICHWALDER -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for your offer to help with the translations.
Please use the attached script to create a hash of your password.
The script creates a file with the information I need to create your account.
Please use it like this:
./svn-password opensuse-i18n <your-opensuse-login>
When commiting to the SVN repo please make sure to use httpS:
https://svn.opensuse.org/svn/opensuse-i18n/
Thanks.
Ciao,
Daniel

IMO, if there is only one person, no team, it is easier to go directly to the SV server - once you know to use it, of course. The strength of Vertaal is coordinating a team automatically, allowing people to also download/upload the files they have assigned. If there is only one person, you don't have to "coordinate" anything with others. Just download the entire tree, translated it all, or part of it, and upload, as often as needed. It is just two commands which you can copy-paste and repeat hundreds of times as needed. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
