I have an IPEVO webcam / document camera, which used to work fine on Tumbleweed.
Now it no longer does.
In dmesg I see the following:

No /dev/video0 or /dev/video is created.
The above is with kernel 5.3.12-2-default.
Has anyone had similar problems or does anyone know how to solve this?
Unfortunately I don't know exactly when (in terms of Tumbleweed versions) this stopped working.
Further to this, I opened http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1159811 I also discovered that if I downgrade the kernel to 5.3.9-1-default while keeping everything else the same (on Tumbleweed 20191221), the camera works, with /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 being created. Is anyone else seeing similar behaviour with generic webcam devices? -- ============================ Roger Whittaker roger@disruptive.org.uk https://notes.smuvelious.org ============================ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
