All of a sudden, the Yast2 on my firewall (SuSE 7.2) lost all its modules (xcept for the 'welcome' module). I checked files against another firewall box (SuSE 7.2) which also has yast2 installed (works fine there). I did not find any missing files or similar, ie. in /usr/lib/YaST2/ and /usr/lib/YaST2/menuentries :-( better use rpm -Vv yast2 (and rpm -Vv for every module belonging to yast2 ... use rpm -qa | grep yast2 to find out
I do now honestly fear the evil hax0rs trying to r00t my box, because SuSE YOU doesnt work anymore... I'd rather like YOU to be useable from commandline. The functionality is not very complex, I assume, and it is annoying to press "Next" a couple of times, just to get updates. I sent feedback info to SuSE before release of 7.3, but they didn't introduce anything like apt-get :(
