Hi,
I just installed 7.2 on my box (very good work, SuSE - as far I can say that after having seen it for 2 hours or so !) and I wanted to harden the box with Marc's script. Unfortunately, I'm having the following problems when executing the script:
spock:/home/download/SuSEsec/harden_suse-3.4 # perl -w harden_suse-3.4.pl Bareword found where operator expected at harden_suse-3.4.pl line 284, near "m/IPPL || m/ARGUS" syntax error at harden_suse-3.4.pl line 284, near "m/IPPL || m/ARGUS" syntax error at harden_suse-3.4.pl line 287, near "} else" syntax error at harden_suse-3.4.pl line 291, near "} else" syntax error at harden_suse-3.4.pl line 299, near "}" Execution of harden_suse-3.4.pl aborted due to compilation errors.
I'm not good in Perl, so does anybody of you have an idea ?

Hi,
Marc probably programmed all weekend to get this to us (thanks Marc), so its a slip of the finger.
If you edit the file and go to line 284, then on this part:
"m/IPPL"
Simply change to:
"m/IPPL/"
Save and exit, then run the script again.
Ok, I did that and the script runs perfectly :) Thanks, Matt and Robert !
