http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19993 Summary: Radeon HD 2400, gamma set way too dim, yellowish Product: xorg Version: git Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Driver/radeonhd AssignedTo: lverhaegen@suse.de ReportedBy: mradcliffe@softpixel.com QAContact: xorg-team@lists.x.org Created an attachment (id=22648) --> (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=22648) X.org.log r6xx-r7xx-master I'm not sure if this is due to radeonhd or xrandr. Or maybe PEBKAC. After building from git (xserver 1.6) and starting X both displays are too dim and appear slightly yellow. The gamma is set to 1:1:1. The 1.5.99.1 build I made (roughly October 31, 2008) did not have the issue. Unfortunately I don't have that available anymore for testing. I tried both radeonhd & drm master and r6xx-r7xx-support branches though I am currently using r6xx-r7xx-support (9b291beaca8b06b086772f6e842d8be168386575, Alex's commit from last night with little font corruption). Also I have tried with AtomBIOS and without. I'm not familiar with setting gamma via xrandr so I don't know the expected results. If I try "xrandr --output DVI_I-2/digital --gamma 1.0001:1.0001:1.0001" both displays immediately brighten to almost white (except gnome-terminal). Setting gamma to anything above 2:2:2 results in lots of scrambled colors (except for high ranges where output is mostly black). Setting gamma below 1:1:1, like .999:.999:.999, will slightly lighten the display, but keep the yellowish tint. xgamma has no effect (is this expected with xrandr 1.3?). The xcursor is not effected. The white outline and black cursor seem to be set to fff and 000 respectively (rgb).
