so the monitors don't just show a black picture, they actually go into a different powerstate? In standby?
Yes. But: I've just realized this only happens when booting with a framebuffer, here's my /proc/cmdline when it doesn't work: root=/dev/sda1 vga=788 video=vesafb:ywrap => 800x600 vesafb framebuffer, using ywrap for better performance in console. When booting without vga=788 video=vesafb:ywrap everything works fine! But 80x24 is terrible large on this screen :) Cheers, Stefan
