python-cepa was on the way to Factory, as it got removed from d:l:p
Was that by mistake? Can this be recovered, please?
No, it wasn't mistake. I have written to you before (in the comments on the package side, search you email) that the package is not fit to be put into Factory.
You may have written to the packager, but not to me. In https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/957508 there is no comment as well that points into this direction. Addressing it here before you accepted the SR would be the way to go.
It conflicts with python-stem (https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/devel:languages:python/python-stem)
and it is not clear what is the relation between them. Even if it is a fork of stem, it is their duty not to conflict with the stem's namespace. This conflict must be resolved either by the packager or it should be handled upstream, but we cannot have two packages having the same module name in %{python_sitelib}.
These issues should be addressed to the packager and discussed, but in *no way* a package should simply be removed without further comment or discussion. This is rude and not the way we want to work together in the openSUSE community! How do we get the situation fixed? Best, Axel
