[opensuse-project] membership?
Two questions/suggestions: * may be it should be usefull to speak about membership here http://en.opensuse.org/How_to_Participate * does every body writing for membership receive an answer? I don't really need an other e-mail, and don't use IRC, but as one of the first openSUSE... (I was to write member, but can't, how may we name the people that work for openSUSE since the beginning?) and fr.opensuse.org sysadmin, I think I should be a member... and I'm not in the list jdd -- http://www.dodin.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

Just give us some time to process the requests. We're literally flooded
with requests at the moment ;)
cheers

That's probably a good sign for openSUSE.. there are a lot of people who feel enough a part of the whole thing to apply for membership. :-) C --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

I'm another of these - though certainly less of a contributor than many in the membership-related threads. However I'm a long-time SuSE / OpenSuSE user and evangeliser.

+1 One little query (slightly hijacking the thread - apologies) - how do we 'sign' the "Guiding Principles in the User Directory" - whether logged-in or not, I can't see anything pertinent? -- Cheers Richard (MQ) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

Thanks Benji, but I can't find 'edit profile' anywhere? Once logged-in, I have (at the top of the page): MQ | My Talk | Preferences | My watchlist |My contributions | Log Out The only obvious choice is "Preferences" but this leads to options: User data | Skin | Files | Date format | Time zone | Editing | Recent changes & stubs | Search | Misc none of these have anything like the image you link above, nor a similar tick-box Yours in bafflement -- Richard (MQ) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

Sound like you're in the Wiki instead of the user directory; it's at http://users.opensuse.org Kind thoughts, -- Francis Giannaros http://francis.giannaros.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

D'Oh, as Homer Simpson might say. You're quite correct. Very confusing! Hope this thread might help others though (I can't be the only one). Maybe a good idea to put a note to this effect on the page with the Guiding Principles?
