Have you tried opensuse.markmail.org? That is my favorite place to read old posts. The history goes back to Jan 1, 2013. I generally find that far enough back.
I'm kind of returning to Suse (after started with it in 1999.), but wonder why one has to subscribe to 'general' in order to post?
This, in one sense, defeats the purpose of Gmane subscription, especially considering that the list is managed by ezmlm which, iirc, does not allow to be just subscribed witout delivery (like in mailman).
Any comment?
It's a sanity vs legacy thing. For all of the opensuse lists except the main help lists sanity rules and anyone can post. They use spam filters to keep out the spammers. For the main list (English and other languages such as opensuse-de) legacy rules and only subscribers can post. One guess which side of the argument I come down on. It has been a couple years since the technical lists converted to the allow all approach. Maybe it could be brought up again. Greg -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail.
