why does openSUSE release with issues anyway?
ohh dear.. there will always be issues, if you expect a software product without issues you are living in a different planet.
Of course I don't expect that, and I did phrase that comment misleadingly. What I mean is why are we releasing with known bugs that are apparently pretty visible to users on the desktop, as some have reported. -- Kevin "Yeaux" Dupuy - openSUSE Member Public Mail:

There's three answers to that. 1) Testing, 2) Testing, 3) Testing. The problems we face are not enough testing and too close to end of cycle when more people start testing. And the other thing about "bugs", is that sometimes it has to be in combination with how you use the machine. I'm finding a relatively smooth experience on my 11.1 box with a few annoying bugs, others are experiencing crashes. Why? Different usage of their machines. It's impossible to come up with every possible scenario for testing. So... more Testing, Testing, Testing as early on as possible. The extended period for 11.2 might yield better results for us because it gives us all more time to test. -- Bryen Yunashko openSUSE Board Member -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
