Hi, I just saw this post: Not sure if this is of interest to us. https://social.treehouse.systems/@thesamesam/109781551802800007 Distro people! We're starting a mailing list for coordinating on cross-distro problems, "fire of the week", anything which needs - or would benefit from - distributions speaking to each other. Example topics include: - "new $X is totally broken oh god", - coordination of stuff like time_t migration - discussing how to handle something new (the github - unstable-tarballs incident today would be a good example) Please consider subscribing: distributions(a)lists.linux.dev (link on lists.linux.dev / https://subspace.kernel.org/lists.linux.dev.html) Do join too if you're an upstream and interested in these topics, especially if you're writing core software. Changes to the openSUSE Board

Hi everyone, as you probably have seen, after serving on the board for a good year Attila has resigned (mainly due to his day job). We quickly synced up as a board and in alignment with the Election Rules (cf. https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_election_rules#Appointment ) offered the vacant seat to Patrick Fitzgerald who was a close runner-up in the recent elections. And I am happy to share that Patrick accepted. Thank you Attila for all you have done for openSUSE and hopefully will be doing. And welcome Patrick - looking forward towards working together more closely! And now on to some hacking, testing, designing, documenting, supporting, using and promoting... Stepping down

Dear All, As some may have noticed in the past few months I got limited to no time to attend board meetings, or to be part of the daily life of the project. This has a number of reasons, but mainly that my day job is draining me hard. The change what I hoped to achieve by end of this month in my job - which would've provided me some with extra free time - seem to have slipped to the end of the second quarter. I find it disrespectful towards other members of the Board, and towards the community to hold a title that I can't actively fulfill therefore I decided to step down as a member of the board. -- Adathor
