The KDE4 build service project uses /opt/kde4 at the moment. There are no KDE4 packages in Factory yet (at least not public).
yes, but KDE 4 will live in /usr as well, it just not there because of the pre-alpha state atm.
That's clear. Will that be made clear in the release announcement, as it means quite a different partition size change for /opt and /usr. The latter will require about 1GB more when both gnome and kde have been moved... Quite a change, that has to be taken into account.
