OBS history is a nice 'gadget', but mostly useless once it 'leaves' OBS (published repo, users install).
And who cares when it leaves the OBS ? I dont think that regular users care about what patches the package has.
the 'Update' changes are not a new request (and packages have been constantly rejected for this reason throughout the last 6 years I participate); with VERY few exceptions (some automagically updated packages, like the timezone database).
Yeah, Argumentum ad antiquitatem. :-) In short, unless evidence is presented, I do not believe that this will do a damn thing to improve the quality of the distribution or ease packaging in anyway. It will however cause a collosal waste of time. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
