Hi... I am looking to buy a keyboard to plug into my s/b live card...Any advice as to make and model to buy or to avoid appreciated..
Oh boy, you looking to start a flamewar? Your question is the musical geek equivalent of "Which editor should I use?"
That said, it really depends on what you need. Korg (http://www.korg.com ) have a lot of really nice keyboards.
I'd suggest visiting your friendly neighborhood music store to see what they have. They'll always let you try out the gear right there. If you're a regular customer they'll often let you take it home for a week or so to try it out with the rest of your equipment. You can also often rent almost everything they sell. Hi.. Thanks for the replies...I have only just setup the midi side of SuSE and am quite in the dark as to what to buy.....Do I go for a normal k/board with no voices and use the s/blaster input or do I go for a usb connection and if so will this use the voices on the k/board.......Will search for a newbie guide to linux music in the meantime... -- Regards Ted Wager SuSE Linux
