[opensuse-marketing] Re: [opensuse-multimedia] install 11.4, first complete clip
Hope this to be the final version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07pryArO_wM without english text: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j_XPUiRSU8 not completely polished, but I expect future clips (on other subjects) to be more (experience working). For people wanting to dub (make a track with other languages): it's pretty easy to do with very lttle tools. A mike (for now I use simply a headset, the quality is bad but the sound easy to understand). Record a separate track while looking the clip. mix it with avidemux. The original track is mpg 250Mb. I can upload it to some server (including mine) if necessary. You also can send me the sound track and I can do the dubbing. I would like to add all the tracks on a single file, but don't know yet if it's possible and with what file format. I would like to have a translation team :-) let alone to be able to givbe credit to the translators jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Good job! BTW, the branding I see in the video isn't final (gfxboot, bootsplash).

Is the English script available somewhere? That would make dubbing easier.

I would like to have, do you know where I can find it (no need to be a video, photo is good)?

for such a thing (where I don't master the flow), I speak witjout wrtitten script. I think somebody is writing it (at least somebody said so) in fact, it's pretty difficult to record from a text while keeping sync to the image :-) If I can give a clue to volunteer, it's to don't try to keep in sync, record, be long, and cut after. Of course the audio translated clip have to be exactly in sync and with the exact duration if I have to add it on languages I don't understand (I can follow french, english, italian, a bit of spanish and some similar langages, I'm completely unable to follow german, russian or japanese :-) It's pretty easy to record 2 seconds to correct a mistake (I did several times in this clip) - as long as it's the same speaker :-) one can also make sub-tutle, there are several products in openSUSE for such thing, and subtitle can be published on separate files, very small and easy to pack jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

I forgot to say that it may be better, because the video in from an english install and it's not possible to make a local langage install video without maker again all the work jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

oh, this is after the boot, I can't really change it (the only diff I see is the up left logo). Is there any difference in the very first boot screen (anyway I dl the RC2 right now, so I may have the answer tomorrow :-) we should have such basic data much longer before if the tutorials have to be issued at the same time tran the distro :-(, don't seems but it's quite long to do :-( jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Transcript, not really script :) It is too late for scripts, when you are almost done, and release is in 2 weeks. We can plan more later, when dust around 11.4 settles. BTW, root passwords are not the same length. It is almost literally what you are saying, so someone can fix the text and create real script. There should be enough time to create few translations to major languages. For translators: you can record only audio file while watching video. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello, here you can see how to install openSUSE distribution. Drop DVD in the reader, start it. You can give a language that will be used for installation, Of course we doing it in English. Also you can choose video mode. and for install clips, we do not choose the workflow. I even wonder if it's necessary to explain what is obvious from the screen :-) the fract than the 11.4 RC2 install lats only 10 mn on my VirtualBox makes me think I may redo the clip with final :-) (previous dvd didn't work in VirtualBox) We can plan more later, when dust around 11.4 settles.
