yesterday i called with Jan-Simon. He says me that a new Section is wished from the different Projects. (Idea was from Bryen (suseRocks).
So i created an new Template for them. The new Section is called "Projects Corner". The template can be found at: http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/ProjectsCorner .
The Projects Corner can be published one per month. So the Projects can be publish own Articles, that can't be found at Mailinglists and IRC. I've created the Template 3 Corners: KDE, GNOME and Education. Every Time if an Project has an Article ready, they can post it to the Marketing List. We are publishing this in the Projects Corner.
The idea is very good. Still, I have some questions. 1.) What do "Projects" mean ? I know, in this case, Projects don't mean whole "openSUSE Project", but Sub-Projects. However, how many and what kind of Sub-Projects do we have now ? Do we have only 3 Projects, or are there any other Projects ? On the Wiki, we can see several "Teams". http://en.opensuse.org/Teams But we don't have the wiki page for "Projects" now. What are the differences between Project and Team ? 2.) We already have sections "Announcements", "In the Community" and "Status Updates". What will be the differences between those and the new "Projects Corner" ? My understanding is, the articles for the existing sections are collected by Weekly News Team and those for "Projects Corner" are posted by members of each Projects. If my understanding is right, what kind of articles should be in the existing sections and what kind of articles should be in the new "Projects Corner" ? For example, "KDE Team Meeting" in "Status Updates" on the issue #60 should be in "Projects Corner" or not ? "HP Builds on the openSUSE Education Project" in "Announcements" on the issue #57 should be in "Projects Corner" or not ?
