This is the case, we thought that would be a useful feature in connect. Sorry, I implemented it and wanted to blog about it, but came over that.
If thats not wanted, please go to 'Edit group' in connect.o.o (for example for the marketing list https://connect.opensuse.org/mod/groups/edit.php?group_guid=11392 ) and set the "Enable autosubscription on mailinglist" at the bottom of the page to no. That stops the behaviour.
I went through the groups now and corrected the ML names, furthermore I did a stricter check on ML names in Hermes to avoid sending of broken mails. So this should not happen again.
Thanks a lot Klaas for fixing this!
A (more detailed) documentation what the data means on the group edit page in connect needs still to be done.
I apologise for the annoyance.
No big deal, we were at first confused what happened - and that irritated us a bit ;) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
