Hey!
During Hackweek 3 Andreas Demmer and I made a new frontpage for opensuse.org, which will replace the 3-Box-Page we currently have on http://www.opensuse.org.
The goals of the new page are:
* pickup the visitor at the front-door * offer more information about the openSUSE-Project on a centralised page (more; not to much, many, etc., just a overview!) * stay conform with the openSUSE.org screen-design * make it easy for newcomers to dig into the openSUSE-Univers.
Excelent new design =)
We made a small admin interface to change the content without the code-hacking and deploying dance.
A localisation is implemented, too. But not deployed now.
A localisation means ?? o.O
You can check out the draft at http://www.suse.de/~rlihm/index.shtml.
We are looking forward to hear your opinions and suggestions.
Please !!! A language combo_box !!!! The person who installs openSUSE in spanish, have the front-page in spanish (default) (principal site) = The presentation card has to be friendly_mode_ON ;) No matter that the news and the build service remains the same (english) Greetings -- Ing.
