hi,
can you explain me the difference between

This contains /usr/src/linux-<version> as built for i586 (which is identical to all other arches now).

This contains the bootable kernel and associated modules.

This is the source RPM for the first RPM you listed. It installs into /usr/src/packages and builds kernel-source-2.6.25.2-2.1.<arch>.rpm. It contains the tarballs of patches that we expand and apply to build the source tree. Unless you're looking for a specfic patch, you probably never need to touch this one.
i think that the first two are with special patches for i586 and x86_64 but is the last one a general one, wich compiles on every arch? dont think so?!
could anyone please explain or give me a link to Linux_Standard_Base if there is one
I don't believe LSB covers this at all other than perhaps the kernel sources being installed in /usr/src/linux.
