[opensuse-kde] KNetworkManager OpenVPN private key password
Hello! I'm trying to connect to a VPN using KNetworkManager of 11.3. My private key is protected by a password. KNetworkManager never asks for the password and the connection is thus never established. The GNOME interface seems to have a configuration setting for the password http://www.ossramblings.com/files/vpnclient.jpg but I did not find anything similar in KNetworkManager.

Jan, you have another choice in type of connexion. Try to check the combo box, there's on with X509 with password. Using those one, you will have the password box field. -- Bruno Friedmann bruno@ioda-net.ch Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member User www.ioda.net/r/osu Blog www.ioda.net/r/blog fsfe fellowship www.fsfe.org (bruno.friedmann (at) fsfe.org ) tigerfoot on irc GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Just remove what I've said :-) It's if the remote peer need a username and password. It's not the key password field. Are you sure, that you don't get a qt4-pinentry dialog box ( It could be masked behind others windows, a known bug) Otherwise, it could be just a missed field in the Knm panel, so a bug to report. -- Bruno Friedmann bruno@ioda-net.ch Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member User www.ioda.net/r/osu Blog www.ioda.net/r/blog fsfe fellowship www.fsfe.org (bruno.friedmann (at) fsfe.org ) tigerfoot on irc GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I tried to connect on an otherwise empty desktop. There is no pinentry dialog.
Otherwise, it could be just a missed field in the Knm panel, so a bug to report.
There should be a password dialog box when connecting or a field to enter the password when configuring? Gruß Jan -- Sometimes it's easier to do it yourself. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
