I see in the KDE4 configure desktop area (Personal Settings) that I should be able to control how KDE encodes compact disks into ogg/flag/whatever. However, when I put a CD in, all I get is the ability to play it with kscd. The "My Computer" app is more or less non-functional it seems in this regard (and others). How do I get back a context menu or whatever from which I can rip tracks?
Type 'audiocd:/' in Konq or Dolphin address bar. Iirc you can also just click on the audio cd entry in the Places panel in Dolphin (only in 4.3 afaik) I've made an enhancement report to add solid actions for audiocd:/ with kioclient, here: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=505997 (Maybe I should have used openfate :-/) If you want you you can download my attached "prototype" there and copy it to ~/.kde4/share/apps/solid/actions/ After restart of KDE you'll then get an option to open audiocds with your filemanager via the device notifier. Btw., don't you have K3b installed? When I insert audio cds I also get an action to rip with K3b. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
