No, it's not. Come on guys, are you kidding or smth? The popup you are refferring to stated the deal absolutely clear - the .desktop file should be executable. So recreating .desktop files will be way longer than "chmod +x *.desktop" )))))
That will make .directory exec and also GnomeOnlineHelp.desktop, Support.desktop and myComputer.desktop as executable and they have no line: #!/usr/bin/env xdg-open as a first line in the file, but they work fine. Looking in .desktop files that have such line they are for applications that are not KDE native, so just making all exec will produce potential for mess down the road. -- Regards, Rajko People of openSUSE editor.
