Factory really is the current KDE 4.3.x release. I assume that they will make a KDE_43 repository when 4.4 goes into factory.
Why would there be a KDE 4.3 repo, if STABLE contains KDE 4.3 as soon as openSUSE 11.2 is released?
I think what people actually ask for is a better undestandable way of naming convention... "STABLE" does not suggest what version is in there, whereas "KDE_43" is clearly understandable...
STABLE does not stand for a specific KDE version but for whatever version is shipped with openSUSE, having a repo for every KDE version is too much waste of space and resources in general. As an example, what should be done with :KDE42 after openSUSE 11.2 is released, should it stay forever or can it be removed? If it was removed, people would have to change their repos, if users have STABLE in their repo-list they do not have to change anything. And AFAIR most people did not want to update as often as Factory allows to. I assume most openSUSE users can read and hence they will find http://www.google.de/search?q=opensuse+kde. They would have to find some page with the repo name on it anyway, since nobody just knows the whole URL or whether it ends with KDE43 or KDE_43 or KDE-43 etc. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
