This update from the Release 410 repo Seems to have broken suspend on my Laptop
My 2 desktops I updated until now work fine. What happened, Carl?
Suspend is messed up See also this thread in the forum https://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/applications/483 907-kde-4-10-1-upgrade-missing-suspend-menu-item-broken-hibernation.html#pos t2532442
Do you see suspend in the K-menu?
It is missing here, too. The cause seems to be https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/108407/ , which uses systemd-logind for suspend/hibernate, which the old version of systemd in oS 12.2 does not support. One work-around is to comment out session optional pam_systemd.so in /etc/pam.d/common-session and remove /etc/dbus-1/system.d/org.freedesktop.login1.conf.
