Should I update the release via factory today? Or, should I just update KDE via factory?
Roman You cannot just rerun make install and hope for the best: since kdelibs version changed you need to rebuild the whole app, not just reinstall it.
Right. So sth like:
cd /home/mandtrid/kio_sysinfo-build/ make clean cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/ -DSYSINFO_DISTRO:STRING=suse /home/mandtrid/kio_sysinfo/ make su [password] make install
Should make the trick. Note there are 3 commands lines, even if my mailer split last one into 2 :)
Were you successful with openSUSE Milestone4? Here are the steps that I used: First, I removed and reinstalled kio_sysinfo. Logged out and re-logged in to KDE4. cd kio_sysinfo-build make clean cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/ -DSYSINFO_DISTRO:STRING=suse /home/roman/kio_sysinfo/ make su <typed in my password> make install Results The program on your computer which provides access to the sysinfo:/ protocol has unexpectedly terminated.
