When did this start? Because if I can't find a "switch" or command or something to turn this off, I am going to have to look into a new mail program.
I keep old messages which have solutions in them for various problems that seem to come up over and over. Saving these messages allows me to help others ... I don't want to have to put these messages into some other item, I want to keep them in my email program.
How do I turn off this "feature"? I cant even find a setting that tells the email program to delete certain messages because they are aged. TIA Hi, for me kmail works well (kde-4.1.3, kmail-1.10.3) so try this: right click on your mail folder and you should see something about "expiry"[1], then uncheck all checkbox. I dont' think that they are checked by default... You need to check all your folder.
[1] In italian is "effettua scadenza", just before "proprietà" (properties) so I don't know exactly how is translated in english.. HTH.
