A better way is to start it from the mini-CLI and then simply save
the session upon exit while KInternet is still in the RAM.

I know it is an embarassing question and I already got the information that Kinternet is not exactly an KDE application, but still maybe someone can help me:
Well it has a K in front of the name...
The small icon of Kinternet always used to appear with the start of KDE, but my wife -at least I am not the one who did it- somehow closed it. I still can start Kinternet for example with <Alt><F2> but Kinternet does not start automatically anymore. I know there is a simple solution but I must admit that I forgot it.
Wow, eine Frage die ich moeglicherweise beantworten kann!
Right-mouse click on the Kicker (I think it's called -- the Leiste at the bottom) and select "Add button --> Internet --> KInternet". I think this added KInternet (in Linux SuSE 8.1 / KDE 3.05) for me as a normal "application" icon (left side) and I then dragged a copy into the system tray (where the Klipboard lives, etc.) and deleted the first icon.
(Corrections, improvements welcome)
