Hi all,
I have a small problem with the bootup sequence of KDE. I'm running a usual standard SuSE 9.0 installation with all relevant patches. When the system boots into the KDE GUI and I login as a normal user I get a message box which states
"Das Programm krandinithack (krandinithack) ist abgestürzt und hat das Singal 11 (sigsegv) veranlaßt"
If on the opposite I login as root this doesn't happen (yep, I know, I shouldn't log into the GUI as root. This was just for test purposes). Everything else runs vanilla as far as I can see. As it doesn't happen as root, I guess I have a problem with the proper user rights? Or maybe some files are missing in ~? Any guess what to do? And what at all is/does krandinithack? I couldn't find any information on the net, though I must admit I didn't try to dig too deep, just googled for krandinithack with no hits at all resulting.
Thx for your help
Peter
Are you sure you have not been cracked? Try looking for that file on=20 your system and if you find it, do a rpm -qf /path-where-it-is/krandinithack to see what it belongs to. -- opinions personal, facts suspect. http://home.arcor.de/36bit/samba.html
