Hi,
please excuse me, why shouldn't I shop at googlegear.com? I've seen this slogan before, why is it bad? Sorry if I'm pushy.
As my signature has been recieving the desired response I've formulated a standardized response which follows. The bottom line though is poor customer service in regards to damaged products. GoogleGears policy in a nutshell, "When in doubt blame the customer" :-( Here's my sad story ; I purchased $700.00 worth of equipment over a 2 day period from them. The parts arrived quite promptly and I was very happy. 2 days later while preparing to install the motherboard they had shipped me I noticed a small "grunge/burn" in one corner (over time this grunge has become quite large in my mind :-O, this grunge/burn had to have been created by a rather large arc as far as I can tell. I RMA'd the motherboard and sent it back to them. Things slowed down at this point, eventually they shipped the board back to me and stated that they would not replace the board as it was damaged :-0 I will never buy from Googlegear again! Speed of shipping was excellent, but if heaven forbid you recieve some DOA parts then your money is gone. I'm out $120.00 (us) (more than 10% of the total project cost) and my time, as well as being hesitant to ever shop online again. Since I have been using this sig I have recieved mail from others w/ nearly identical experiences. Had all the parts I wanted been available locally (within 50 miles) I would have probably bought locally. The savings (had there been any) of buying on line would have been less than $100, this does not take into account the expense of a replacement motherboard or return shipping for the dead mb. My suggestion - buy locally if you can. If you buy online then treat it like gambling, only spend as much as you are willing to lose. - -- dh Don't shop at GoogleGear.com! -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+gedYBwgxlylUsJARAvHlAJ9Ze/Ua7NwY4vYMpVyaMpBtK00NrwCfT0FX RTfpPxbFgZaqMPJub1AZg1E= =rb4W -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
