Of course you can print. It will just submit the job to CUPS through LPR rather then using the CUPS server directly.

No, I mean I really can't print! When I click on the "Print" button, I get the Sig11 crash of KMail again. KPrinter's window stays up ok without bombing out when I select Print from the menu, but actually clicking on the Print button sends everything into oblivion again. I have downloaded Kontact though and will compile it and if I read you correctly, it should take care of the kmail problems?
