Hi Developer, I use GNOME 3 based on openSUSE 11.4, the 32-bit architecture with kernel 3.0.4 ... Nividia Grafik-Hardware. Am very happy with GNOME 3, have been using it very much and think that the developers made a good job. The work with this desktop is for me than years of "KDE-User" in places, still a little unusual, but it makes more and more fun. "thumbs Up" ;-) However, when I recently wanted to replace some icons, I found the "alacarte" does not want to start. Neither on the start icon, or from the console/terminal! However, output in the terminal the following message: Start Code:↓ ~> alacarte Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/alacarte", line 36, in <module> main() File "/usr/bin/alacarte", line 32, in main app = MainWindow(datadir, version, sys.argv) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/Alacarte/MainWindow.py", line 48, in __init__ self.editor = MenuEditor() File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/Alacarte/MenuEditor.py", line 36, in __init__ self.__loadMenus() File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/Alacarte/MenuEditor.py", line 56, in __loadMenus self.settings.path = os.path.join(util.getUserMenuPath(), self.settings.tree.get_menu_file()) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/posixpath.py", line 65, in join if b.startswith('/'): AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'startswith' → End Code! In the Web to find tips on how to remove directories:↓ → "./local/share/application", or this → "Re-Install" alacarte-package, or this → "./config/menus" Resulted in empty and nothing changed. Any other ideas? Have a nice weekend! -- Grüße aus' m Schwabenland ↓ → Lisufa, der Linuxsusefan ↓ ################################## ********************************** ....::: openSUSE Member :::..... ************************************************************* Die 'SuS(i)E' sei mit euch, wo immer ihr auch seid .... *************************************************************
