Feature added by: Udaya Kumar (ukumars) Feature #308281, revision 1 Title: Empathy as default IM client openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Udaya Kumar (ukumars) Description: Empathy has good support for voice chat, which happens to be missing in Linux for long time. Have tried it on ubuntu and have liked it. I like it to be part of openSUSE release as default IM client. I don't like to switch to another Linux flavor, as openSUSE is more comfortable to use and simpler to manage. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308281

However, having said that I think its a good + move as its the default upstream as well as becoming the default on + other distributions. It clean that that's where the effort is being + placed. + I've also noticed that with pidgin it tends to be a hard group to work + with and contribute features to. I imagine that empathy with all of + this new effort will grow much faster and will soon enough surpass + pidgin. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308281
