[New: openFATE 308366] Automatically stop packagekit when install software
Feature added by: Mingxi Wu (Mingxi_Wu) Feature #308366, revision 1 Title: Automatically stop packagekit when install software openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Mingxi Wu (mingxi_wu) Description: When I use YaST to install software, it often freezes and throws out a error that packagkit is running and locking the system. I need open a terminal and type "sudo kill -9 xxxxx" to stop packagekit, this is not easy for the new guys. There are 2 ideas to solove this problem: 1. YaST kill packagekit (it has root privilege). There is no problem here as package will restart itself later. 2. packagekit provides an exit DBUS method, so that, YaST can call this method, then, packagekit can safely exit. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308366
