[opensuse-factory] Does anyone use compat-libldap-2_3?
Hello! compat-libldap-2_3 is the very old OpenLDAP client library from 2005. Does anyone use it for building modern projects? If not, I will drop it from Tumbleweed. Kind regards, Howard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Note that there were security fixes in libldap 2.4 a couple of months ago one would have to back-port. Nobody maintains the 2.3 code base anymore. => Drop it! Ciao, Michael.

So why did we add it to Factory just three months ago? ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
The package has always been with openSUSE factory, but three month ago it was split from OpenLDAP subpackage into its own package. Now that it is no longer maintained by upstream, it seems to be a good opportunity to drop it. On Wed, 6 Apr 2016, Jan Engelhardt wrote:
