http://www.suse.de/~coolo/factory-status.html shows a summary of failing packages and if there is action about them. Right now we have just way too many of them and some fixes are left in devel projects - I invite everyone to help out
drbd 8.3.1 does not have the necessary patch to compile with kernel 2.6.30. The patch is included with the latest drbd, which is version 8.3.2
Can you submit a version update?
Where are the instructions on how to submit a version update? Thanks, Toni -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for the link, even though it wasn't meant for me, it enabled me to start using osc for the first time. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Glad to hear. If there's more documentation missing, please tell me. I'm not an osc power user but I'm willing to write something to help others to become power users ;) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

As I get more used to osc and interpret the man page I certainly will. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Dave, It's the typical patch files created using diff and applied using patch. What I normally do: tar xf foo-1.0.tar.bz2 (extracts in the folder foo-1.0) cp -r foo-1.0 foo-1.0.patched change all the things needed for my patch in foo-1.0.patched then diff -urN foo-1.0 foo-1.0.patched > foo-1.0.patch The so created patch can be used in a spec file with %patch -p1 hope this helps you a bit. Thanks Dominique, I had everything right except for the u and N in diff -urN, I will scour the man page for a better explanation of those options but the format matches other patch files now.
