Version update (1.5.4 -> 1.6.0)
- Update to new upstream release 1.6.0
* Fix incorrect result of rdb_increment on overflow
* Cipher type cleanup for AES.
When libSRTP is compiled with OpenSSL and the AES 256 ICM
cipher is used with RTCP, an incorrect initialization vector
is formed. This change will break backwards compatibility
with older versions (1.5, 2.0) of libSRTP when using the AES
256 ICM cipher with OpenSSL for RTCP.
* Sequence number incorrectly masked for AES GCM IV.
==== libwnck ====
Version update (3.24.0 -> 3.24.1)

Version update (4.11 -> 4.12)
- update to 4.12:
* Newly documented interfaces in existing page
namespaces.7
Document the /proc/[pid]/ns/pid_for_children file
* see Changes for details
==== mono-core ====
Subpackages: libmono-2_0-1 libmono-2_0-devel libmonosgen-2_0-1 libmonosgen-2_0-devel mono-data mono-data-sqlite mono-extras mono-mvc mono-wcf mono-web mono-winforms mono-winfxcore
- ucontext.patch: use ucontext_t instead of struct ucontext
==== mpg123 ====
Version update (1.25.4 -> 1.25.6)

- Update to version 1.25.6
* Hotfix for bug 255: Overflow reading frame data bits in layer
II decoding. Now, all-zero data is returned if the frame data
is exhausted. This might have a slight impact on performance,
but not easily measurable so far.
- Update to version 1.25.5
* Avoid another buffer read overflow in the ID3 parser on 32 bit
platforms (bug 254).
==== ncurses ====
Subpackages: libncurses6 libncurses6-32bit ncurses-devel ncurses-utils tack terminfo terminfo-base
- Add ncurses patch 20170729
+ update interix entry using tack and SFU on Windows 7 Ultimate -TD
+ use ^? for kdch1 in interix (reported by Jonathan de Boyne Pollard)
+ add "rep" to xterm-new, available since 1997/01/26 -TD
+ move SGR 24 and 27 from vte-2014 to vte-2012 (request by Alain
Williams) -TD
+ add a check in newline_forces_scroll() in case a program moves the
cursor outside scrolling margins (report by Robert King).
+ improve _nc_tparm_analyze, using that to extend the checks made by
tic for reporting inconsistencies between the expected number of
parameters for a capability and the actual.
+ amend handling of repeat_char capability in EmitRange (adapted from
report/patch by Dick Wesseling):
+ translate the character to the alternate character set when the
alternate character set is enabled.
+ do not use repeat_char for characters past 255.
+ document "_nc_free_tinfo" in manual page, because it could be used in
tack for memory-leak checking.
+ add "--without-tack" configure option to refine "--with-progs"
configure option. Normally tack is no longer built in-tree, but
a few packagers combine it during the build. If term_entry.h is
installed, there is no advantage to in-tree builds.
+ adjust configure-script to define HAVE_CURSES_DATA_BOOLNAMES symbol
needed for tack 1.08 when built in-tree. Rather than relying upon
internal "_nc_" functions, tack now uses the boolean, number and
string capability name-arrays provided by ncurses and SVr4 Unix
curses. It still uses term_entry.h for the definitions of the
extended capability arrays.
+ add an overlooked null-pointer check in mvcur changes from 20170722
- Modify patch ncurses-5.7-tack.dif and ncurses-6.0.dif to get
position independent executables as well
==== open-iscsi ====
Subpackages: iscsiuio
- Clear errno before calling strotull in iscsiadm
(bsc#1029364). Note that this changes the file:
* open-iscsi-SUSE-latest.diff.bz2
which is changed each and every time this package is updated.
==== openssl-1_0_0 ====
Subpackages: libopenssl-1_0_0-devel libopenssl1_0_0 libopenssl1_0_0-32bit
- Diversity -devel subpackage boilerplate summary.
==== perl-Error ====
Version update (0.17024 -> 0.17025)
- updated to 0.17025

I had similar issues and a file conflict because I selected to keep
obsolete packages, probably they are related.

Pandoc is coming for oss repository ?
My choice was CTRL+C as information I'm using a --no-recommend way of life.

The new repo-checker already commented on the devel package [1]. If no response may escalate as bug or direct mail (unfortunately not everyone leaves comment notifications enabled). There are a number of lua related issues related to the recent changeover in Factory. pandoc is 'only' a victim - the real issue being ghc-hslua failing to build. I already approached its maintainer yesterday for this issue. Cheers, Dominique PS: for the record: pandoc is not a ring package and not considered 'critical' to block snapshots - like ~ 7000 other packages too. Currently, we have 210 packages failing to build, some for very long times.

MPV in openSUSE:Factory still depends on lua-5.1 and unresolvable. MPV in mulimedia:apps already fixed to lua5.1 (no hyphen) but has newer version. Should we wait until mm:apps mpv version would be accepted to oS:F? Or would be there separate fix for oS:F package? Looking at the state of the current submission, I'd 'just wait it out' - it is likely to be fixed in the 0818 snapshot. cheers, Dominique

I would not ask pandoc as ring (a bit too much deps I guess). At least not my first geeko's priorities for the moment ;-) ps : Dominique, you should every time give a link to the failures, so curious can jump on ;-), no ? -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

all the build failures can be seen in https://build.opensuse.org/projec t/show/openSUSE:Factory - that link does not change for pandoc, it currently 'just' states 'unresolvable: nothing provides liblua.so.5.1 needed by ghc-hslua', see https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/pandoc so checking turther, you get to https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/ghc-hslua where you can click on any of the 'failed' logs, which leads to (e.g.) https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/openSUSE:Factory/ghc- hslua/standard/x86_64 there the log states: [ 19s] Setup: Missing dependency on a foreign library: [ 19s] * Missing (or bad) header file: lua.h [ 19s] This problem can usually be solved by installing the system package that [ 19s] provides this library (you may need the "-dev" version). If the library is [ 19s] already installed but in a non-standard location then you can use the flags [ 19s] --extra-include-dirs= and --extra-lib-dirs= to specify where it is. [ 19s] If the header file does exist, it may contain errors that are caught by the C [ 19s] compiler at the preprocessing stage. In this case you can re- run configure [ 19s] with the verbosity flag -v3 to see the error messages. [ 19s] error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.bFkuRr (%build) but in all honesty: nothing of that is 'secret' and 'hidden', and if I have to answer all mails with a full trace and debug why something fails, I'll probably just stop reporting the root cause for such issues... there are funnier things to do than copying all the intermediate links into emails (which everybody can find out, without much hassle) In plus, there is nothing left to be done for anybody anyway: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/517341 had been submitted to fix the issue, it has been accepted into the devel prj (sadly not forwarded to openSUSE:Factory yet though - I assume the maintainer wanted to see this build completely in the devel prj first). Cheers, Dominique

oups, seems I didn't explain correctly, I was talking about the ring and the 230 failures you're facing in producing Factory. Now I have wasted your time sorry again. -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Current build failures are always visible at https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/openSUSE:Factory?arch_i586=1 &arch_local=1&arch_ppc64le=1&arch_x86_64=1&blocked=1&broken=1&building= 1&defaults=0&deleting=1&dispatching=1&failed=1&finished=1&locked=1&repo _standard=1&scheduled=1&signing=1&unknown=1&unresolvable=1 you can save https://build.opensuse.org/project/dashboard/openSUSE:Fact ory as bookmark - there you always get a good overview of what is all happening Cheers, Dominique
