[opensuse-factory] no kodi in Tumbleweeds packman-repo since weeks
Dear List, originaly I send this request to the packman mailing list last week but got no response. So I hope a packman member or someone else willing to help may read it here... Since about a month Kodi (the media center software) is not available for openSUSE Tumbleweed. It was before and the old rpm worked fine until Tumbleweeds jump to gcc 5.1. kodi now segfaults because it was not rebuildt: kodi /usr/bin/kodi: line 168: 2414 segmentation fault "$LIBDIR/${bin_name}/${bin_name}.bin" $SAVED_ARGS Crash report available at /home/bv3/kodi_crashlog-20150703_101933.log link to crashlog: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/c292fe2e8361ea789615 Can anyone make kodi build again in packman? I would like to help but I never build a package and have no idea how obs works or how to even get in contact with the packman team when they do not answer mails. thx tomtomme -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Dear List,
originaly I send this request to the packman mailing list last week but got no response.
Um, You got two responses

since about a month Kodi 14.2 is not available for openSUSE Tumbleweed. It was before and the old rpm worked fine until yesterday.
It requires the old libcec2, but libcec3 is now the only available variant. Either libcec2 gets reintroduced, or kodi should be updated to mainline.
Sagi Ben-Akiva
Kodi 15.0 release candidate was just released and using libcec3.
I'm currently working on updating Kodi rpms to latest release. You can find it my my home project at : https://pmbs.links2linux.de/package/show/home:sagiben/kodi
Please don't waste everyones time on this mailinglist cross-posting something you already got answered in the more appropriate mailinglist ;) Regards, Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I am truly sorry that I missed your answers. However, thanx for your help, Kodi works now again :) I did the noob error to wait for the answers to appear in my inbox instead of watching the packman-list online (as I am not a list-subscriber). Maybe it is a good idea to send answers also to the senders adress, if the sender is not a subscriber? I guess many noobs like me otherwise might think they do get no answers... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I wish that were true, but not so in openSUSE lists and there are many that routinely complain. And complain loudly. Greg -- Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. Due to the silly 'osc wipebinaries' interface I removed all binaries in Factory and TW by accident. Today I fixed the rsxs build failure. I also disabled debuginfo for kodi because it causes the build to abort with ENOSPC or an internal compiler error or a linker crash. The build for 13.1, 13.2 and TW succeeded, it will likely take some time once the new binaries get published.
