Probably a bug. We were removing it in some modes (e.g. during installation). Stano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I gathered that seeing as it was only introduced in 11.0. I've filed https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=439160 Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Sigh... impossible: ] You are not authorized to access bug #438848. However, it wasn't an update, but a fresh install from the ß3. No slide show, just the verbose screen - which is fine for me, I prefer that. But no way I could see to show the slides. Talking of the slides: could you add buttons to navigate the show? - -- Cheers, Carlos E. I confirm this one. The slideshow is not show, but instead you see the progressbar and the list of packages being installed, with all the messages. I did a fresh install too. Btw, please make the bugreport accessible to community. A bug like this one should not be a secret of state! ;-) Regards, Alberto Il giorno lun, 27/10/2008 alle 13.50 +0100, Carlos E. R. ha scritto:

Yes, slideshow is broken right now, we need a new build to verify if all pieces are finally in place (YaST, zypp, buildservice). Stano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I would say it's an example of featuritis, but feel free to file an enhancement (even better including a patch ;-)). Stano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

ROTFL! Ok, I'll tell you why I'd like that: I install leaving the verbose or detailed view, the one showing the packages being installed. Same reason I boot in verbose mode: I'm a geek, I guess. But I also want to see the slide show, but I can't wait in front of the computer for hours reading it. Therefore, I'd like at least "next slide" button ;-) (hours --> upgrades) - -- Cheers, Carlos E. We just need more slides ... and faster ;) L.

Yesterday I reported 439106 for the missing slideshow. It is not marked private and actually another bug was marked duplicate of mine.

Yes, we are getting this fixed, but the progress on fixing this is slow as showing a slide is quite complex process having several parts of instsys to do right thing and the only reasonable way is to get another build of instsys to continue fixing.
