[opensuse-factory] openSUSE:Factory - Build fail notification
Dear Package maintainers and hackers.
Below package(s) in openSUSE:Factory have been failing to build for at
least 4 weeks. We tried to send out notifications to the
configured bugowner/maintainers of the package(s), but so far no
fix has been submitted. This probably means that the
maintainer/bugowner did not yet find the time to look into the
matter and he/she would certainly appreciate help to get this
sorted.
- notes-up
- python-spyder-memory-profiler
- xiphos
Unless somebody is stepping up and submitting fixes, the listed
package(s) are going to be removed from openSUSE:Factory.
Kind regards,
DimStar / Dominique Leuenberger

Thanks Sebastian, I've tried to get some attention for the 3.8 fallout, but obviously failed for the spyder case: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2020-03/msg00149.html Cheers, Pete -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Hi, That comment in request 784785 is by me. The second option of reenabling the Python 2 packages for python-ujson and python-python-jsonrpc-server has since been accepted into d:l:p by Tomáš. Right now however, the forwarded requests into Factory are stuck, because the assignment into the staging projects turned out somehow unfortunate: - python-ujson and python-python-language-server are in openSUSE:Factory:Staging:adi:85 but are missing python-python-jsonrpc-server - python-python-jsonrpc-server is in openSUSE:Factory:Staging:adi:88 and is missing python-ujson https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/785415- python-ujson into Factory https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/785451 - python-python-jsonrpc into Factory https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/785416 - python-python-language-server into Factory https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/785451 Cheers, Ben Am 17.03.20 um 15:44 schrieb Hans-Peter Jansen:

Hi, with the already mentioned SRs and the new SRs [1,2], spyder3 and python-spyder-memory-profiler build again. Although to be honest, I don't feel very comfortable in disabling more and more unit tests. Regards, Ben [1] https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/786134 (already the forward to Factory -- thanks Sebastian!) As there's already spyder 4.1 released, we can look at that once we tackle the new version. But first, let's fix the package in Factory so we can upgrade our installations properly :) best wishes, Sebastian

So what is blocking right now? Do we have to convince a bot or a maintainer to accept the pending SRs? Cheers, Ben -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Ok I see everything has moved to https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:adi:51 The last thing failing now is the installcheck script because of python-spyder-terminal which also slipped into that staging project and still requires a python2 build of spyder3 -- which of course does not exist. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/786497 tries to fix that. Can we now PLEASE get a working spyder3 into Factory before the next package update or Python 2 dependency drop blocks the staging process?
