Hi,
I'm running 12.1 milestone 5. If i start emacs (or pidgin) i get the following error:
symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_datalist_get_data
Am i missing some library? Is this a packaging error? How may I resolve this?
You need to update both gtk and glib.. however the underlying problem seems to be that something doesn't use library or symbol versioning the proper way. Hmm, I did "zypper dup" using 12.1-RC1-DVD while deactivating other repos. So I expect both gtk and glib reflect exactly the release candidate. What shall be updated then?
This should _never_ happend, packages should _not_ get upgraded by the package manager in such scenario.
